Mr Tucker, the applicant, was present and spoke in favour. Chris Noble and Councillor Pat Smith both spoke against the application. There was a respectable number of activists from the community present to remind the applicant and our Councillors that Wind Turbines are not welcome on our local landscape. The applicant has 6 months to appeal the decision, but given the strength of opposition and today’s overwhelming rejection by the Planning Committee, hopefully he will not proceed further.

Residents will be informed in due course of the future of the Ellerker Action Group, now that it has achieved its objectives.
